From October 18-20, 2026, Direct IT had the opportunity to exhibit at the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) Boston Chapter Annual Leadership Conference & Business Partner Expo at Bally's Twin River Casino Resort in Lincoln, Rhode Island. The three-day event brought together law firm administrators, operations leaders, and business partners from across New England to share ideas, explore new technologies, and discuss the future of legal operations.
This year's conference theme, "Liberty & Leadership: Future-Proofing the Firm at America 250,"focused on helping legal organizations navigate change, strengthen operations, and prepare for the future. Attendees participated in educational sessions, networking events, and an exhibitor hall featuring more than 40 business partners serving the legal community.
For the Direct IT team, the greatest value came from the conversations. Throughout the conference, we met legal administrators and firm leaders facing many of the same challenges we hear from organizations throughout New England: cybersecurity risks, compliance requirements, user support demands, and the need to improve operational efficiency while controlling costs.

The venue itself created a unique conference experience. Bally's Twin River Casino Resort served as more than just a meeting space. Between educational sessions, exhibitor hours, networking receptions, cocktail events, and evening entertainment, attendees had plenty of opportunities to continue conversations and build professional relationships outside the conference rooms.
At the Direct IT booth, we enjoyed discussing cybersecurity strategy, managed IT services, cloud solutions, and practical ways organizations can reduce risk while improving productivity. We also appreciated hearing firsthand how firms are adapting to evolving technology demands and planning for the years ahead.
One of the highlights of the conference was seeing the strength of the ALA community. The professionalism, willingness to share knowledge, and commitment to helping fellow members succeed was evident throughout the event. From first-time attendees to long-time members, everyone was welcoming and eager to connect.

We would like to thank the ALA Boston Chapter, conference organizers, sponsors, and everyone who stopped by the Direct IT booth. We left Twin River with new relationships, fresh ideas, and an even deeper appreciation for the professionals working behind the scenes to keep law firms operating efficiently and securely.
