The Business Challenge:
In today's fast-paced and complex business atmosphere IT Organizations
are being constantly challenged to meet accelerated services delivery
schedules, support constantly shifting levels of user communities
and demands, implement point solutions engaging emerging technologies,
and be prepared to react decisively to unknown security threats
and system intrusions that seek to hobble the business flow. All
of which are complementary duties to the day to day responsibility
of maintaining the operational stability of the network plant and
supporting the needs of the users.
Why Outsource IT Services?
There are compelling business reasons that the vast majority of
Fortune 1000 companies outsource part of, and in some cases, all
of their IT needs, while medium and smaller companies are increasingly
turning to this service as an effective tool to fulfill IT requirements?
Simply put these are:
- To meet one-time demands that overwhelm the workload capacity
of the in-house IT staff
- To gain intermittently-required technical skills that are
beyond the capabilities of the IT staff
- To fill short and medium term temporary staff vacancies occasioned
by vacations, leaves-of-absence, or hiring freezes
- To effectively manage IT expenditures by engaging required
skills and manpower only as needed, rather than as a resident
asset
What Services are available?
The available IT Outsourcing Services are divided into three categories:
- System Infrastructure Services: WAN connectivity and communications;
System Security including anti-virus and intrusion detection
and prevention; Back-up strategies and solutions; Desk top solutions
- Application Services including; desktop rollouts, Microsoft,
People Soft, Auto Cad, SAP, and Solid Works
- Typically outsourcing engagements run from a minimum of two
weeks to several months, although arrangements for a year or
longer are not uncommon today.
The Engagement Process
A Direct IT account representative will meet with you to gain the
particulars of your outsourcing requirements. Then working with
our Program Administrator determine whether a fit exists within
our available technical pool. If this is the case you will be notified,
and an outsourcing proposal will be submitted for your initial acceptance.
A project candidate(s) will then be scheduled to interview with
you and upon your acceptance final contract particulars including
start dates, etc. will be executed. |
